Welcome to the Applications page! Please consider reading through this information before applying for your desired position. By reading through, you will obtain a higher chance of receiving an accepted application! Thank you, and good luck!
Staff applications are perhaps one of the most important applications on this page. Staff members on Dawn To Dusk are required to do many things, from answering questions to punishing rule breakers. A staff member must be fair and just, and must be calm when sorting out possible problems they come across on the server. A good and stable personality is they key to being a great and successful staff member for our community.
When applying, please make sure you read all of the fine text, which can be located underneath the questions in the application. You won't be allowed to ask a staff member for help with answering the questions, but if you believe you have found a technical error, please notify an existing staff member as soon as possible, to help you with the problem.
Do I have what it takes to become a staff member on Dawn To Dusk?
Many players have applied before, and many have been rejected. Why? Perhaps their application wasn't of good standard, or perhaps they didn't have the right motives? Being a staff member is a very important job, and a great opportunity for those that wish to increase their general skills, as well as knowledge with Minecraft servers.
Staff members are set to hold up the Dawn To Dusk rules, and to keep the community friendly and safe for all users. Sometimes, a player may be denied of their application, because they lack the correct motives. If you think you're only applying so that you may hold some power within the community, you will most likely be rejected. A staff member should only apply because they love the community, and want to help out, and perhaps achieve future goals of their own, not because they wish for power over others.
Every member of the staff team must have a good, stable personality. If you don't think your life is stable enough for you to take on a role on this server, then don't apply. If you're going through immediate personal issues, that will interfere with a possible staff member role, then don't apply. Every staff member must have a reasonably stable personality that will both allow them to punish rule breakers, even if these players are their friends, and to safely sort out immediate issues regarding the server, or the server's users.
Will my timezone be an issue?
Most times, having a different timezone to other users is a great aspect to list, for a better chance at becoming a staff member. Having a different timezone means you can access the small times to be online, that others cannot, which means you'd be able to uphold the rules and keep check on everyone that was online during that time.
However, if you don't think you can be online for a good amount of time a day, think of applying in the future. A staff member must be active, so that they can keep an eye on other players, no matter what their timezone is.
If my application is rejected, can I re-apply?
Yes, of course you can re-apply. However, if your application does happen to be denied, you can only re-apply after a two week duration has passed. Use these two weeks to review your application, and improve. Most times, you'll need a little more than two weeks. Remember to consider everything that each staff member, and player, have said about your application, so that you can write out an even better one, next time.
High-Rank Applications are only used very rarely, when a Clan is in need of a Medicine Cat or Leader. Most times, these applications are closed, however are always kept open for the BloodClan leadership position. High-Ranks must usually be calm and collected cats, with the exception of the BloodClan leader, who, as an outsider, can be as blood-thirsty as they wish to be. Leaders must lead their Clans with dignity and honour, whereas Medicine Cats must guide their Clans with respect and honesty.
Do I have what it takes to become a High-Rank on Dawn To Dusk?
If you're applying for a Clan leadership position, excluding BloodClan, you must be a calm and stable person. You must be able to make decisions on the spot, and lead your Clan to a great future. As a BloodClan leader, you lead and guide the BloodClan cats, who, may or may not be quite vicious to the Clans. If you are applying for the position of a Medicine Cat, you must be a calm and honest person. You must be able to keep the burden of StarClan's prophecies quiet, as well as the ability to share your knowledge and skills with your own apprentice, and perhaps leader.
Both positions are very important roles to the Clans, and the Outsider ranks.
